NBA Playoffs Picks: Finals
Well, here we are, down to two teams. Thunder vs. Heat. Good vs. Evil. I am obviously rooting for the Thunder; however, it’s not as clear cut as it seems. I really like this Thunder team, just as about everyone does, but I do not like the owner. I have only been to Seattle a couple of times and have no real connection to the city, but the way everything went down was shady. I want KD and the Thunder to have a championship, but not Clay Bennett.
On the other hand, I strongly disapproved of all that went down in the Summer of LeBron, just as about everyone does. Although, I have been impressed with LeBron lately. He has stopped with his ridiculous antics and has come up big for his team. For the first time in a really long time, he is coming off as likable. I wasn’t sure I would ever be able to say that as recently as a month ago. You’ve got to appreciate that. Having said that, I’m still rooting for the Thunder, but more than anything, I am looking forward to an exciting Finals.
Quick recap of my picks: Up until games 3 of the Spurs-Thunder series, it looked like I was spot on, but like everyone else, I was dead wrong. I was pleasantly surprised. I made up for that by being spot on in the East. I think this is going to be an exciting series. I have been studying for a big test that I take on Saturday and haven’t really been able to enjoy the Playoffs, so I hope this series goes seven, which I think is a real possibility. While I think LeBron has been awesome lately, I just think the Thunder are too much and too complete of a team. Thunder in 6.
